Alana is a registered dietitian who specializes in supporting adolescents and adults navigating complex relationships with food, including eating disorders, disordered eating, and the unlearning of historical dieting patterns.
Alana has experience working across multiple levels of care in eating disorder treatment centers, in both virtual and in-person settings. She utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches to support individuals and families through recovery in a compassionate, collaborative way.
In addition to traditional treatment models, Alana offers a nuanced, individualized perspective on food and body relationships, meeting clients where they are and tailoring care to fit their lived experiences. She is known by colleagues, families, and clients for her ability to build meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds.
Alana is especially passionate about working with BIPOC clients, whose experiences within eating disorder treatment spaces and mainstream diet culture have often felt invalidating or incomplete. Her work is grounded in a commitment to liberation and dismantling harmful systems that show up in food and body narratives.
Outside of sessions, Alana can be found crocheting, skipping outside, hanging out at the library or doing something random.
